In the corner of your screen is a ticking timer and a difficulty that slowly increases alongside it. What really sells the game's intuitiveness, however, is its scaling difficulty. The game even offers tactical advice upon selecting a character to help you play optimally. Characters unlocked later on have more complexity, but those unlocked in the early stages (such as the Commando or the Bandit) can be quickly understood. White is Common, Green is Uncommon, Red is Legendary, Yellow is an item from a boss, Blue is a Lunar item and Orange is an Equipment item. Items are color-coded based on their rarity and where you can find them. With the 1.0 update, some items have been adjusted and others are brand new, so knowing which ones to focus on is important. Items will make or break a run, and it’s important to know which ones to go for especially when playing on higher difficulties like Monsoon.
